OVERVIEW: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSOR We are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance professional with a genuine desire for people development. Based from home, you will travel to see learners in the workplace across the Kent and surrounding areas. Full travelling expenses will be paid from home. This role offers a lot of flexibility, as you will be responsible for managing your own diary, and will be working from home when not on the road visiting learners. You will be trained to teach, coach and mentor young learners undertaking qualifications in Electrical Maintenance. You will be a time served electrical professional (within the Engineering or Manufacturing industries), with a L3 or above qualification. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role and enjoy working in a learning environment. All qualifications and training are supplied by the employer. THE ROLE OF THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSOR To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of Electrical Engineering qualifications in the workplace. Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment. ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSOR Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served electrical engineer Good communication and presentation skills Experience of working with young people Full UK driving license and use of own car. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSOR A level 3 (or above) electrical qualification Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable) Teaching qualification (desirable) This position is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance SALARY/BENEFITS: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSESSOR £34-36k starting salary Flexible working environment Genuine career development opportunities/qualification development opportunities for the right candidate Contributory pension and good holiday entitlement
