Damicor are actively recruiting for an Electrical Estimator to be based close to Heathrow Airport.
You will play a crucial role in the effective management of the estimating department ensuring projects are tendered successfully, delivered on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Contracts Managers and the Procurement Team to ensure efficient tendering and project delivery. Undertake Tender Enquiry activities, considering both commercial and technical aspects while adhering to our non-collusive policy. Assess and record project risks via the risk register. Provide technical guidance, advice, and bid support, including tender programmes and methodologies. Conduct site visits when necessary to understand tender requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry networks and clients.
Qualifications: Applicants should come from an electrical background, ideally as a Qualified Electrician or holding an Electrical Engineering Degree.
Skills, Competencies, and Other Qualities: Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit. Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive prices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of competency in MS Office packages. Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a demanding environment. Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
