Electrical Estimator Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our client, a reputable M&E Facilities Management company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a proven ability to manage tasks effectively within deadlines. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating is required, alongside proficiency with software such as Trimble. This role is pivotal in supporting the senior management team with tendering activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the estimation process. Reports To: Director Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating. Proficiency in Trimble or equivalent estimating software is essential. An HNC in Building Services Engineering or a related field is desirable. Prior experience in the electrical or M&E construction industry is preferred. Must be computer literate with experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Dropbox. Full UK driving licence required for site visits as necessary. Attributes / Key Skills: Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities to interpret technical data and drawings accurately. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset. Experience handling estimates from initial enquiry to final submission. Ability to analyse project requirements and technical specifications to produce accurate and detailed cost estimates. Competent in performing material take-offs from drawings and specifications. Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. Capable of conducting site surveys and adhering to industry standards and regulations. Regularly review internal project estimates and proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance. Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external clients. Responsibilities: Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems. Submit enquiries and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure all estimates are completed within set deadlines. Conduct site surveys and prepare comprehensive reports. Maintain project-related documentation and ensure all required sign-offs are completed. Monitor and adhere to industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution. Perform other duties as required by management.
