Electrical Fitter
for one of our Aerospace clients based in Cambridgeshire.

Contractor position.
The role is to manufacture harnesses, control module LED assemblies, and install completed items into units, conforming to all required specifications.
Units are sometimes built in such a way as to be challenging to install electrical items within confined areas, requiring work from step ladders and platforms.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Demonstrate an eye for detail and good communication skills. Manufacture harnesses, select the correct gauge cable, and use the Raychem ident system. Strip cables and use crimp tools (hydraulic and hand) for assembly of connectors. Perform soldering of sleeves/splices and use heat guns and infra-red heat guns. Adhere to a right-first-time culture. Act as a standalone operator on any given project. Install completed electrical items into units and use hand tools to install all fixed provisions in preparation for harnesses. Make remaining connectors in situ complying with all specifications in the drawings. Work within confined areas as required. Control paperwork/documents as required within company procedures. Provide own tools; specialized tooling will be provided by the company.
