Electrical Fitter / Panel Builder £28-£32k DOE + Regular Overtime paid at Enhanced Rates. Average earnings in excess of £38k! Based in Letchworth Building Control Panels and Bespoke Machinery / Working from Schematics / Wiring of Components / Panel Layouts / Machine Wiring 5D Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively and in partnership with a leading engineering company based in the heart of the home counties. Employing nearly 50 people, they design, manufacture, assemble, test, and ship bespoke machinery from their new, world-class facility. They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated, high precision, bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries, their main markets include the medical and scientific sectors. This opportunity has arisen due to growth, and we are looking to recruit multiple electrical fitters/control panel wirers to meet the requirements of their new and existing customers and projects. What the Role Will Involve: Building a bespoke machine, electrically, from the ground up. Laying out control panels, drilling, tapping, inserting components, etc. Wiring up the panel from schematics and wiring diagrams. Machine wiring - including instrumentation, robotic systems, HMI, camera systems, motors, pumps, etc. Working with the engineering team throughout the build and test phase. What we are Looking for in a Candidate: Time-served, electrical engineering background. Ideally with a formal qualification e.g., C&G / NVQ / ONC although not essential. Experience in building and wiring machines or building electrical systems. Ability to read engineering drawings, including schematics, layout drawings, etc. Ideally, experience in panel building/wiring; however, they are happy to train in this part of the role.
