About the Job

SMARTech energy is seeking a proactive and qualified

Level 3 Electrician with M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) engineering experience

to fill the QS (Qualified Supervisor) role. The ideal candidate will hold an Inspection and Testing qualification and be ready for a challenging position where no two days are the same. We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Please note : This is not a national remote role. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of our office in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The Role

As an Electrical Installation Engineer at SMARTech energy, you will: Install and Maintain : Electrical systems including power quality energy-saving equipment, motor optimisation, lighting, power, energy monitoring equipment, cooling systems, and renewable energy equipment such as Solar PV & controls. Lead and Supervise : Take the lead on installations, ensure the quality of work, and act as the company’s QS. Project Management : Oversee and manage project installation teams. Technical Tasks : Assemble, modify, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools. Troubleshooting : Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of breakdowns and correct problems. Compliance and Safety : Inspect electrical systems and ensure compliance with current legislation. Testing : Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using various devices to ensure compatibility and safety. Training and Development : Manage and train less experienced staff and keep your qualifications up to date with current electrical regulations. Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have: Experience : At least 8 years in electrical installations (preferred). Driving License : Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points). Qualifications : 18th Edition BS7671 Level 3 Electrotechnical Technology 2330 with AM2 or similar Level 3 Inspection & Testing BS2391 or BS2394/5 ECS Gold Card Experience as a QS : Previous experience in a Qualified Supervisor role. Desirable Certifications : IPAF and PASMA certifications Additional Skills : Commercial and Industrial 3-phase installations/fault finding Experience with controls, VSD/VFD installation & commissioning Experience in the energy reduction environment and working on BMS (Building Management Systems) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read electrical plans and methodically resolve issues SMARTech energy offers a competitive benefits package, including: Ongoing training and opportunities for progression 28 days holiday, including Bank Holidays (with an additional day per year after 2 years, up to 5 days) Company pension scheme Bonus scheme (up to £4,000 per year) Company vehicle On-site parking Schedule 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday Expected Start Date:
