Electrical Maintenance Engineer

to join their team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of their production machinery.

Responsibilities: Perform general proactive and reactive maintenance duties to minimise downtime. Communicate details of unscheduled downtime to the Maintenance Lead, offering solutions. Participate in troubleshooting and problem resolution activities. Contribute to continuous process improvements. Maintain regular communication with the machine foreman and other team leaders to address any relevant issues. Complete routine maintenance schedules according to the maintenance plan. Prioritise production stoppages over daily duties. Install electrical components as required. Follow cleanliness standards and maintain a safe work environment. Identify opportunities for improvements in production lines, machinery, and operations. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation. Stay updated with knowledge and advancements in the field. Conduct electrical tests and diagnostic checks. Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience): Time served Electrical engineer or City & Guilds certificate (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering including 17th Edition. Strong problem analysis and fault-finding skills, with the ability to read schematic diagrams. Excellent knowledge of electrical control systems. Proficient in PLC fault finding. Attention to detail and good organisational skills. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience): Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
