Electrical Maintenance Engineer Initial 2-month contract + Likely extensions Location: Greater Manchester / Northwest Rate: Up to £34.50p/h DOE (Limited Outside IR35 / PAYE / Umbrella) Shifts: Panama Days and Nights High-Speed / Machinery / Automation We are currently recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis for a leading client based in Greater Manchester. This well-established company is renowned for its innovation in the design and production of secure documents, including currency and other high-security items. Responsibilities for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer role include: Managing reactive breakdowns and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure the efficient operation of electrical systems Working on critical electrical systems including motors, control panels, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and automated machinery Ensuring compliance with safety standards in a high-volume, fast-paced industrial production environment Logging and reporting necessary maintenance and operational data in accordance with internal processes Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability and plant performance Key skills and attributes required: Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Experience with electrical systems such as control panels, PLCs, motors, and automation systems Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, particularly in high-speed, automated settings Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a focus on improvements and system reliability Site Safety Card CSCS / CCNSG Benefits of working with this company: Outside IR35 Ltd company contract Potential for contract extensions based on performance and business needs Opportunity to work on high-tech systems in a dynamic and challenging environment If you are a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong industrial background, we would love to hear from you!
