Electrical Maintenance Engineer

to work within an office and research environment just north of Bishops Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to become an integral part of a team committed to delivering Hard Services Facilities Maintenance within a multi-tenant office environment with retail units. Role Summary: As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work within plant rooms and communal areas. This role requires a positive person, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities: Repair and maintain electrical lighting and power within multiple buildings. Carry out fire alarm checks, escort subcontractors, change lights, sockets, and ballasts. Work with 3 and single phase. Complete planned maintenance tasks as instructed by the management and support team. Respond to emergency maintenance tasks as instructed by the management and support teams. Complete paperwork. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Requirements: Electrically qualified – ideally to 18th edition, 17th edition with a view to completing the 19th edition soon accepted. Good all-round building maintenance experience. Previous experience within commercial buildings is essential. Previous experience within a research environment is beneficial but not essential.
