Continental Shift Pattern (7am-7pm/7pm-7am - 4on 4off)

Job Description As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility. Your expertise will support planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and minor modifications across electrical systems and distribution networks. You will work collaboratively to promote safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, contributing to a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include: Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards, including risk assessments and method statements. Conducting planned and reactive maintenance activities on electrical systems and equipment. Diagnosing and rectifying faults across motor control centres, distribution systems, and more. Supporting process technicians in minimizing plant downtime through effective problem-solving. Maintaining compliance with ISO standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. Promoting continuous improvement by identifying and implementing plant enhancements. Providing technical training and support to team members and apprentices.

Skills & Experience To succeed as an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will need: A time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance. A minimum of 2 years of experience in process or chemical plant environments. Strong electrical fault diagnosis skills, with a solid understanding of MCC and distribution systems. Proficiency in analysing and implementing solutions for equipment failure. Experience of fault diagnostics and fault finding upon machinery. Experience of working upon control systems and low voltage, as well as panel wiring. Knowledge of COSHH, DSEAR, ventilation systems, and emergency UPS systems (desired). A proactive, self-motivated approach and excellent communication skills. A commitment to becoming multi-disciplined and contributing to team success.

Education:

Minimum time served apprenticeship.
