40-hour work week with no shifts or weekend work, although overtime is available when required.

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. This critical role will support the Engineering department by ensuring the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all electrical and control systems, while adhering to Health and Safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities: As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include: Inspecting plant structures and equipment, identifying defects, and reporting findings. Performing legislative checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Supervising and assisting with scheduled servicing of equipment and responding to breakdowns. Maintaining, assembling, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including plant modifications and instrumentation calibrations. Applying logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Using various tools and equipment, including pedestal drills, grinders, welding gear, and portable powered hand tools. Assisting with the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment as needed, across the production unit.

Ideal Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will: Have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Hold a Certificate of Technical Education (Level 3 or higher) in a relevant field. Be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Possess a solid understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and controlled systems. Be able to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Have completed a formal electrical apprenticeship in an industrial setting. Be able to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams. Have a minimum of 5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in an industrial environment. Have working knowledge of BS7671 Regulations for Electrical Installations.

Additional Information: Control systems include Phoenix Contact ERMIIS PLCs. The mechanical maintenance kit includes level systems, flow meters, pumps, and mixers, with a 60/40% Electrical/Mechanical split.
