The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of the electrical engineering requirements for Centrica Business Solutions heat pump installations. Here's what we’re looking for: Review private (and potentially public) sector clients tenders and/or requirements for power and heating energy infrastructure package of works and outline technical solutions in line with their requirements. Arrange and facilitate client site survey(s) of specialist external contractors. Collect, treat and analyse client data that affects the technical solutions and their associated costs and environmental credentials. Deliver engineering outline design and sizing for the technical solutions and associated energy, costs and environmental benefits. Coordinate inputs from internal teams/functions (e.g. Commercial, Finance, Engineering, Projects) into the sizing and definition of the technical solutions. Populate and drive the Centrica Business Solutions technical, cost and environmental models and software. Coordinate, collect and review specialist external contractors’ inputs into the models (if needed). Prepare and complete budgetary and final proposals for client submission. Support sales meeting with clients and lead on the technical aspects. Focus activities to ensuring an optimum sales velocity across the stages of the project life cycle from Qualification up to Contract award. Lead a continuous improvement process to improve the CBS processes and engineering, cost and environmental models. Contribute to the review of innovative technologies with credentials to enhance the CBS commercial value chain. You will have a solid knowledge of engineering project costing tools and cost management processes, along with proven experience in coordinating internal engineering resources and managing relationships with external contractors and installers. A thorough understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations for energy infrastructure projects is essential, as is knowledge of project financing methods and commercial structures, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA). The ideal candidate must also have strong IT skills for collecting, analysing, and manipulating energy data, and experience in developing and delivering onsite generation strategies to end customers. With strong analytical skills, you should be capable of distilling complex matters and effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences. You will be a strategic thinker, able to assess opportunities within a broader context and identify risks and potential benefits, while also being able to clearly articulate complex energy-saving solutions, including costs and savings calculations.
