Electrical Product Design Engineer

Electrical Product Design Engineer focuses on review and validate technical drawings to ensure accuracy, buildability, and compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards.

What the role involves

• Review and validate technical drawings to ensure accuracy, buildability, and compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards.
• Supporting and follow Cellnex, Customer, and Site Provider design policies, acting as an advocate for best practice and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Provide expert technical advice on electrical design matters, keeping documentation current and supporting colleagues with ad‑hoc design and RF queries.
• Develop assessment methodologies for challenging or non‑standard sites, ensuring consistent design quality.
• Driving standardisation of design practices and workflows to increase efficiency, quality, and repeatability across the engineering function.

Skills and requirements

• NICEIC - related training or comparable electrical safety certification.
• Knowledge of G78 and pylon installations (or willingness to grow this knowledge).

Confirmed role details

• This is a hybrid position based at our welcoming offices in Leamington Spa, Reading or Manchester , with three days in the office and two days working from home.
• ~ 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays ~10% target annual bonus ~ Generous pension scheme 2:1 match ~ Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption leave offering.
• 26 weeks full basic pay for Maternity leave, followed by 13 weeks SMP – Enhanced leave is intended for all parents, whatever your family setup may be.
