Due to over 10 million pounds worth of investment over the next 2 years into this papermill in West Yorkshire, we are looking for an electrical project manager to focus on developing and implementing projects including the modernisation of our HV and LV Networks as we strive to increase uptime and improve the efficiency of the factory. Working with both the Mechanical and Controls teams to ensure that the projects are delivered on time and to budget. Ideally you will have been an engineer, who has worked with High Voltage and has been involved in project implementation, the ongoing upgrade work is expected to last around 5 years. This role is located in Wharfedale, commutable from Bradford, Leeds and Harrogate.

The responsibilities of this project electrician's role: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved. Create and review electrical design specifications, schematics, and drawings. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel and contractors. Interact with customers, maintenance, and production employees to resolve issues and identify opportunities. Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and compliance records. Provide regular updates to project stakeholders. Define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work. Manage development efforts, including activities such as assigning tasks to co-workers, conducting project plan reviews, preparing development-related documentation, and monitoring cost and resource estimates. Liaise with client (Operations) to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Provide on-call technical support for the Whiteleys paper manufacturing facility. Utilise CMMS (Pemac) for management of project-related tasks.

Experience & Skills required in this Electrical Project Engineer's role: Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in industry or 10 years of Electrical experience in a manufacturing plant (paper manufacturing preferred). Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP). Experience of working with HV networks; HVAP qualification would be helpful. Compex qualification would be preferable; if not, working knowledge of ATEX environments would be useful. Strong project management and leadership skills; Prince2 or similar would be beneficial. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
