Electrical Project Manager Location: Stroud / Hybrid / Site Visits Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 + Progression + Training + Career Development + Holiday + Pension Are you an experienced electrical engineer ready to take on some of the UK's largest renewable energy projects? Do you have the technical expertise and passion to drive renewable energy projects from concept to completion? Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their Generation Team. This team spearheads the development, design, and installation of renewable energy projects, including solar farms, wind farms, gas plants, and battery storage systems. They also provide technical expertise for an existing 90MW onshore wind fleet. Key Responsibilities: Manage generation projects from initial concept to final design and construction. Secure grid connections and oversee feasibility assessments. Drive design development, manage tendering processes, and negotiate contracts. Contribute to financial modelling, due diligence, and developing technical specifications for project construction. Engage regularly with DNOs (Distribution Network Operators) and National Grid to ensure compliance with electrical or gas connection agreements. Handle complex issues like flexible grid connections, export limited schemes, and private wire arrangements. Act as a technical interface with ICP (Independent Connection Providers) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors. Provide key technical support to the O&M (Operations & Maintenance) team and assist the Smart Grids and Trading teams with grid services and electrical infrastructure. The Person: Higher education in electrical engineering or related field. Experience in renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage). Knowledge of electrical infrastructure (transformers, cables, switchgear). Familiarity with GB electricity grid, G99/G100 standards, DNOs, and National Grid. Full UK driving license. Working Conditions: Hybrid working with a mix of on-site and office work.
