Electrical R&D Engineer

Description: Experienced Electrical Engineer required to undertake electrical schematic and associated control solutions design as well as developing machines for a diverse range of applications. Our client has been established for almost 30 years and specializes in the manufacture, installation, and service of a range of thermal management solutions to an impressive range of customers throughout the UK and Europe. As a result of continued success and an ongoing program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical R&D Engineer to complement their professional team and support them in the design and development of a portfolio of solutions including air blast coolers, water heat exchangers, and recirculation chillers. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be realistically qualified to at least HND or above in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, instrumentation & controls, mechatronics, or similar) and be able to demonstrate at least 3 years or more experience of performing electrical design and development activities within an engineering manufacturing environment. You will be experienced in creating Electrical schematics, ideally using AutoCAD Electrical, and possess practical experience of wiring and developing machines, as well as working with associated controllers and PLCs, and being able to capture and analyze test data as required. Additionally, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills at all levels (both written and verbal) and possess a positive “can-do” attitude with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team when required, often within a pressurized environment.
