You will be the specialist who will provide technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across the Queens Hospital estate. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Queen's Hospital. This role is essential in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and compliance of all electrical systems across the hospital site. You will lead a team of engineers, ensure statutory and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed, and provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving electrical faults. Main Responsibilities What you'll do: Appointed as Authorised Person (AP) for Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) systems. Oversee the day-to-day management of electrical staff, providing training, guidance, and conducting performance reviews. Manage planned and reactive maintenance tasks using the CAFM system. Ensure compliance with HTM06 and all relevant health and safety standards. Supervise and coordinate with specialist contractors and in-house teams. Conduct diagnostic work, identify system improvements, and manage repairs of electrical systems. Maintain up-to-date records to ensure statutory compliance and support audits. Promote a culture of teamwork, adaptability, and excellence within the team. Ideal Candidate Essential Relevant City & Guilds qualifications in Electrical Engineering. Experience as an Authorised Person (AP) or willingness to undertake AP training. Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a healthcare or critical environment. Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, automation, standby generators, and HVAC systems. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Proficient in using CAFM systems and interpreting technical drawings. Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
