We are looking for an

Electrical Systems Engineer

to join the team and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. This role will require a hands-on approach combined with project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of high voltage projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering, particularly in high voltage systems, as well as strong leadership and organizational capabilities. However, it may suit an experienced electrical engineer who is proactive in nature and willing to learn high voltage systems. The Role Oversee on-site electrical works and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring accuracy in electrical design and execution.

Lead and manage multiple electrical projects, particularly those involving high voltage (HV) systems.

Develop and oversee project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, resources, and risk management strategies.

Manage stakeholders’ expectations, both internal and external, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Actively participate in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HV systems, including transformers, switchgear, and substations.

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to high voltage equipment and systems.

The Candidate Apprenticeship trained

Proven experience in an electrical engineering field, experience of high voltage systems desired

Proven experience in project management, with a track record of managing high voltage projects from start to finish is desirable.

Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NESC).

Excellent hands-on skills in high voltage system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.

Familiarity with power distribution, substation, and transmission systems.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
