Electrical Systems Lead

to join our client's dynamic team. Job Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Systems Lead Engineer, you will lead, grow, and manage a team of electrical engineers and auto electricians to develop battery electric classic cars that are safe, refined, performant, and satisfy customer requirements within the targets and timelines of the company. You will play a critical role in creating the specification and architecture of the vehicle and LV assemblies such as wiring harnesses, fuses, low voltage batteries, sensors, etc. You will also be responsible for assisting powertrain engineer(s) to define the electrical architecture of the vehicle and define improvement points moving forward. Work with Head of Whole Vehicle and Head of T+D to refine LV and HV architecture according to the latest legislative, functional safety, cost, and performance standards. Control design and specification of low voltage wiring harness. Guide mechanical design engineers on best practices for routing and securing of harness. Act as primary point of contact with external suppliers for prototype wire harness manufacturing. Perform all calculations and specifications for LV and HV component sizing, including wiring, fuses, relays, IVTs, etc. Create and maintain schematics in Arcadia and Visio and control release of updates. Write end-of-line pass/fail requirements and signoff procedures. Experience Required:

Demonstrable expertise in LV and HV system design in automotive applications. Demonstrable ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently. Fluent in Visio and Arcadia or similar industry standard software. Strong understanding of LV and HV component design & construction (wires, connectors, insulation, shielding, etc). Experience with automotive standards and communication protocols. Ability to work from first principles. Strong knowledge of relevant subject. Knowledge of CAN bus. 5+ years of relevant experience.
