Job Description Mecsol are based in Bristol, operating a wide range of electrical services covering the commercial/heavy industrial sectors. Established for over 30 years, we work with a wide range of clients such as Shell Energy, Puma Energy, and Bouygues. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Team Leader to join our company in a permanent position. You will be based in Bristol but work will include out of town for certain projects. This will be a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, realistically more like 40-50 hours. About You: You’ll be an experienced Approved Electrician with a background in productive and electrical engineering, with a passion for leading and developing people. To be considered for the role, you should be a self-motivated team player who pays strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and supervise a team. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a time-served electrician, preferably within the industrial & commercial sector Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and deep technical knowledge of electrical systems A proactive approach to meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards Strong organizational skills and attention to detail A commitment to health and safety best practices Demonstrate competence and have obtained an NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work (or approved equivalent) Possess preferred qualifications of SSSTS, CSCS card & IPAF Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire a team of electricians to meet, build schedules and maintain quality standards Allocate work based on individual skills and project requirements Supervise electrical installations, ensuring compliance with plans and technical specifications Monitor requisitions for electrical components, focusing on suitability and cost-efficiency Inspect completed electrical work for functionality and compliance with standards Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop wiring schematics and technical documentation Liaise with cross-functional teams to address build progress and timelines Set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials Accept responsibility for the quality of your workmanship and that of your colleagues under your control Ensure work is to a high standard, maintaining a safe work environment that follows standards and procedures complying with up-to-date codes of practice Some of the work duties may be office or workshop based Be prepared to work out of hours occasionally This job role involves occasional away work What We Offer: Competitive salary depending on experience (from £18.00-£20.00 per hour) 32 days paid holiday pro rata (including bank holidays) Pension options Continuous training and support Company vehicle Quarterly performance-related bonus Mecsol is an equal opportunity employer.
