Due to our continued success and increasing demand for our services we are looking for an experienced Electrical Test engineer to join our team! Key Responsibilities:

Management of the Electrical team, including regular meetings and appraisals. Liaise with customers to develop and propose solutions to customer requirements. Attending and estimating electrical jobs including installations, testing, remedial work and repairs. Prepare tender packages and production of quotations for new works, electrical testing and additional work on existing projects. Management and scheduling of projects with sub-contract and in-house labour. Being a point of contact for the customer and informing them of progress. Keeping company management system up to date for the jobs you are running. Management of electricians and subcontractors and answering any site queries. Management and maintenance of Quality, Health and Safety on site. The role will require you to run multiple electrical projects successfully whilst meeting defined timescales and quality standards in an organised manner. You will need to: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including all aspects of Health and Safety on electrical work including the production of risk assessments and method statements. Producing and/or signing off any electrical test sheets or documentation required on the work. Plan the delivery of agreed solutions and manage from enquiry stage right through to completion. Deliver Electrical works on time, within budget and to the highest standard. Ordering materials and checking they are correct for site including obtaining supplier quotations. Attending site progress meetings and client meetings as required. Assisting with site commercial and technical queries. Preparing quotes for any additional works and new work. Ensure all site documentation is being completed (test sheets, point of work risk assessments, electrical permits, etc.). Issuing final documents to the client (drawings, certificates, O&M manuals). Working with the NICEIC qualifying supervisors to ensure best practice on installations maintaining the company’s high standards. It's essential that you have:

The ability to prioritise work and work to deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. The confidence and ability to work unsupervised. An appetite to learn new skills working on industrial installations, control systems and instrumentation. The ability to work well within a team. The ability to carry out testing on electrical installations and correctly record the results for the production of electrical certification. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Level 3 City and Guilds Electrical Technical Certificate. NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations. City and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection Qualification. A current valid JIB/ECS card. Previous experience working in the water industry would be beneficial but not essential. Key information:

Normal working hours for Bainbridge Electrical are 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday but there may be the need to work outside these hours throughout the week and occasionally at weekends. Your salary will be based on your qualifications and experience. Ideal candidates would live in or around Lancashire or South Cumbria. Training will be provided where required. Automatic enrolment to the company pension scheme. Company uniform. Competitive salary paying well above the JIB standard rates dependent on experience and qualifications. Opportunity for overtime paid at time and a half during the week and before 12pm Saturday, with double time paid Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Travel paid at hourly rate and not per mile.
