Thursday, June 20, 2024 Electrical Testing and Inspection Engineer/Qualifying Supervisor Permanent – Cambridge An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical contractor on a permanent basis. In this role, you will set objectives and manage the Inspection & Testing process on all projects. You will be responsible for managing quality issues to ensure our exacting and high standards are met, manage health and safety, permit to work systems, and commissioning processes on site. The role requires you to have a detailed knowledge of all Electrical systems, relevant standards and regulations, and installation methods. You will also have a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures, along with best site working practices. Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer Role

Maintain, control and implement company procedures, including H&S operating procedures. Inspect, control and review progress of work of labour and sub-contractors. Inspect the work of other operatives for quality, progress and satisfactory completion. Notify office of impending delays to work. Assist in the training and development of apprentices where necessary, including the management of internal practical and written assessments. Assist in the production of Commissioning programme and/or agree order of work within overall commissioning programme and monitor its progress. Ensure compliance of all electrical works, whether executed by own operatives or sub-contractors, in line with the relevant drawings and specifications. Organise, supervise, and record testing and commissioning procedures and/or inspections as required during the progress of contract. Prepare and issue draft testing certification for completion on site as testing works progress. Attend site/client meetings (if so required by employer). Ensure that safe systems of work are adopted by operatives on sites and assist in developing SSOW as required. Arrange and supervise testing and inspection on completion of works, including compliance with specifications, snagging and compliance with all necessary project documentation and current regulations. Carry out remedial and installation works as required. Carry out the role, responsibilities and represent the business in the role of NICEIC Qualified supervisor. Time served Electrical Apprenticeship Level 3 minimum. CG 2391 – Inspection and testing (or equivalent) CG 2382-22 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Am2 Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer Desired Qualifications

City & Guilds Accredited Low Voltage Authorised Person Course (APLV) City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Design and Installation of Domestic and Small Commercial EV Charging Installations (2921-31) SSSTS or SMSTS Emergency First Aid PASMA IPAF Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer Package

£50,000 - £59,000 per annum experience dependent 37.5 hrs basic, standard working week is 44hrs (anything over 37.5 hrs is overtime per JIB ruling) Van and Fuel Card Standard JIB benefits Required to work in the Cambridge and Chelmsford and cover ALL MBS projects. Covering East Anglia so project location dependent, travelling will be required.
