UPS Electrical Service Engineer M25 Corridor
Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a UPS Field Service Engineer to join our client.

With the company's success continuing to grow steadily, they are looking at expanding the workforce on site and in the field in order to maintain sales. They are a market leader within the sale, service, and maintenance of UPS systems. The business has shown consistent growth and is constantly developing new systems to maintain their competitive advantage in existing markets. The successful UPS Field Service Engineer will receive support and development which will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further yourself and progress your career within a continually expanding business. The Role: This is a field engineer position which is home-based. The field engineers are responsible for commissioning, maintaining, repairing, and occasionally modifying a range of power protection products. The job would suit an appropriately qualified person who already has field service experience, especially if they have worked for one of the other main UPS manufacturers; however, this is not essential. The product range consists of, but is not limited to, battery-backed rotary UPS systems, diesel UPS systems with both battery and kinetic energy storage, static UPS systems, static and rotary frequency converters, including 400Hz aircraft ground power equipment. The field engineers are mobile and are responsible for ensuring that they arrive at the site on time, with all of the necessary tools, spares, and equipment required to complete the assigned task. The field engineers are allocated a task from head office and are given all of the job details; they are then expected to ensure that they are properly prepared for the visit. A high degree of flexibility is required to enable our client to keep pace with the ever-changing demands of our customer base. We cannot stress enough that this is not a 9 to 5 job and requires a person who can cope with sudden changes of routine and who must occasionally be prepared to work away at short notice. The Candidate: Electrical/Electronic service and maintenance experience Ideally UPS or power electronic experience 3 phase experience upwards able to use electrical hand tools such as clamp meters, insulation testers, oscilloscopes Field Service experience ideal HNC/HND qualified and/or apprentice Based M4 corridor Flexibility to work some weekends and work overtime Happy working an on-call rota If you are interested, please call Justin Reynolds on (phone number removed) or apply online.
