Electrical/Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical/Electrical Fitter Ipswich Permanent A leading Engineering business is currently recruiting for a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter to be based at their site in Ipswich. As fitter you will provide investigation, electrical and mechanical repair of motors at their service centre. You will ensure that work is achieved to the required standards to time, cost and customer satisfaction. Working with all types of LV and HV motors and associated equipment such as pumps and other rotating machinery. You will have a good engineering background and previously worked on pumps/motors/generators or similar rotating machinery. You will be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and have good attention to detail and organisational skills. A recognised Electrical or Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or time served experience is required. Good knowledge of health and safety requirements. The role is working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (overtime is available).
