Morgan Hunt are currently working alongside one of Scotland's top 100 businesses as they search for an experienced Electrical / Senior Design Engineer to join their Glasgow office. This is a truly unique and interesting opportunity to work on projects in high-tech regulated industries such as cleanrooms, research laboratories, medical manufacturing facilities, and more. We are looking to speak with professional, technically driven engineers interested in honing their engineering skills on bespoke, challenging projects in specialist markets. If you have experience in these sectors, that is advantageous; however, this is a great chance for an individual to move away from traditional building services projects. Role Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems. Preparation and review of documentation, e.g., designs, specifications, assessment reports, survey reports. Site surveys, inspections, and monitoring of site works. Implementation of detailed surveys of electrical services and equipment to establish the status of the existing installations and gain sufficient information to recommend new/upgrade design proposals. Assisting with the development of junior engineers. Report and technical note writing. Qualifications / Experience Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering. Ideally chartered or working towards this with CIBSE or IET. 5-10 years of experience working in a design consultancy or a similar environment. Knowledge of mechanical design within the built environment. Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients. Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards, able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, and act on own initiative. Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as IES thermal modelling package, Microsoft packages, CAD. Benefits 22 days holiday + 9 public holidays. Holiday buy/sell.
