NRL are currently recruiting for a permanent Electrician, to work at the Port of Blyth. The Port of Blyth is a modern statutory Trust Port, generating revenue of £22m during 2020. The Port provides a first-class handling service specialising in the energy, project cargo, container, dry bulk and break-bulk sectors. Heavy lift experience along with a range of value-added services compliment high quality warehousing and engineering workshops. About the role: We are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to join the maintenance team at the Port of Blyth.

The Port has an array of cargo handling equipment that includes FLT, Cranes & Heavy Plant; experience of working with these types of equipment both mechanically and electrically would be an advantage.

You will be responsible for carrying out Electrical Engineering Maintenance work on all Electrical Services, Systems, Plant and Equipment (Planned and Breakdown), in addition to Electrical Installation works in accordance with current regulations.

This is predominantly a day shift position; however, you will be required to work shifts and weekends when necessary. Overtime will also be required to cover the needs of the business.

Due to the nature of the business, you will need to be flexible with a can-do attitude.

You will also be required to assist with the loading/unloading of cargos. Therefore, the successful candidates will be required to learn all aspects of Stevedoring including operating plant & equipment where required.

The business is located across four sites, so a full driving licence is essential.
