We operate a Corporate Landlord approach - bringing together the management that leads our strategic property management, design, and hard/soft Facilities Management teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrician to join the DLO electrical team in providing a wide-ranging service across the Council’s property portfolio. The successful candidate will undertake both testing and installation, including minor installation/maintenance of door access systems, to existing facilities. Responsibilities include: Carrying out 5-year electrical condition reports on schools and public buildings. Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained. Carrying out remedial works after emergency light testing. Liaising with clients/customers providing advice/guidance when required in relation to the role. Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. Requirements: An Enhanced with Children’s Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post. A Health Surveillance assessment through our Occupational Health Service is a requirement for this post.
