We operate from our depots in Kilmarnock, Scotland and provide a mobile service to the rail industry over the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland. We are looking to recruit

Electricians

for ongoing rolling stock maintenance and overhaul projects in line with standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

Remove and refit electrical components. Carry out modifications to rolling stock in accordance with relevant work instructions and specifications. Carry out inspection, maintenance and testing of rolling stock systems in accordance with vehicle instructions. Where required, provide support for fault-finding and diagnosis of rolling stock systems. Accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications. Accurate completion of paperwork and work instruction. Work effectively as part of the production team. Work safely and in accordance with all mandatory requirements. Promote Brodie Engineering’s behavioural expectations by enhancing and supporting working relationships within the business, customers and external agencies. Comply with all Brodie Engineering policies as detailed in the Employee Handbook. Key Skills required for the role:

Experience of component removal and refit of electrical systems. Demonstrate experience of fault finding and diagnosis of electrical systems. SVQ/NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Dual Skilled Qualification (or equivalent). Minimum NC Electrical (or equivalent). Able to read and understand engineering drawings. Ability to develop & maintain good working relationships. Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures. Understands and cares for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate. Methodical in approach to problems and have good attention to detail. Ability to identify problems and immediate resolutions whilst under pressure. Salary Scale: £41,730 - £52,500 (qualifying bars in place) As well as a highly competitive salary you will also benefit from our comprehensive benefits package which includes EAP, Private medical insurance, Contributory pension scheme and other employee benefits.
