OCU Hornbill (Part of the OCU Group) currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician. As we continue to grow through 2025, this has provided us with an opportunity to grow and develop our team based in Neath. Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out electrical installation work efficiently, ensuring work installed is compliant with the National Working Rules for Electrical Contacting Industry and other relevant legislations. Ensure all work is installed in a safe manner that will not present harm or danger to yourself or others. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand/power tools. Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Glanding and terminating to circuit breakers, transformers, or other electrical apparatus components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults or issues and make necessary repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople and professionals, such as engineers and project managers, to complete projects successfully. Undertake training as required to maintain or develop competency levels. Key Skills and experience required: Must have been a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method of training and have had practical training in electrical installation work. Must have obtained an NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work or equivalent. Must have had experience working as an Electrician. Communication skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients. Knowledge of national and local building codes. Proficiency in using hand and power tools and testing equipment. Ability to work well individually and as part of a team. Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards. Ability to manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and complete tasks within the allotted time frame. Attention to detail is vital to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with regulations. Travel may be necessary.
