37 hours per week The role covers the local Reading area only A company van and monthly tool allowance are part of this role, plus the opportunity for extra earnings for overtime / call out

About the Role The Reactive Maintenance Team is looking for a multi-skilled electrician to join our team carrying out maintenance on our housing stock. This will include test and trace, wet works, making good, basic carpentry for access. This role will suit someone with the necessary electrical skills and who also has other skill abilities.

Primarily to carry out repairs and rewiring, in a safe and effective manner Carry out other major works and testing either on planned programmes or one-off jobs or void properties using schedule of rates To assess the materials needed and either obtain from the main stores or obtain official orders for purchase direct from appropriate supplier You will be supplied a company vehicle, specialist tools, mobile phone/ PDA, and all other items that will allow you to perform to the highest standards.

About You Organized and able to solve problems quickly and effectively. You will be required to manage your own van stock and materials and therefore will need to work methodically and allow time within your day to order and collect materials/parts. Full valid manual driving licence. City and Guilds 2360 Part 2 and 2382-10 (17th Edition) or NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation Work, with demonstrable experience of a range of electrical skills including repairs and maintenance and complete rewiring. Experience of workplace health and safety. Computer literate and knowledge of working with handheld technology will be beneficial.
