With a reputation for innovation and excellence, we're looking for an experienced and dedicated Solar Electrician to join our team and help us make a positive impact on our environment. Role Overview As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This is a field-based role requiring hands-on technical skills, strong electrical knowledge, and a passion for renewable energy. Key Responsibilities: Install, test, and commission solar PV systems on a variety of properties. Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on existing solar installations. Diagnose electrical issues in solar PV systems and provide effective solutions. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company procedures. Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure project success. Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information clearly to clients. Essential Criteria: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification. 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certification. Proven experience in electrical installations, preferably with solar PV systems. Strong understanding of electrical diagrams, wiring, and schematics. Knowledge of health and safety standards, including safe working practices in the renewable energy sector. Full UK driving license. Desirable: Experience with solar PV system installation and maintenance. Knowledge of inverter setup and commissioning. Solar PV qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Solar PV qualification) is a plus.
