Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Electrician's Mate to join our team in Holyhead for a temporary project. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within an industrial setting. This role will involve working alongside qualified electricians, supporting second fix socket installations, and working with single cables. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in the electrical industry.
Responsibilities: Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Support the second fix installation of sockets, switches, and other electrical components. Work with single cables for electrical installations and connections. Help with the wiring, connecting, and testing of electrical circuits and equipment. Install lighting systems, power outlets, switches, and electrical panels as directed by senior electricians. Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety standards and complies with electrical regulations. Follow electrical diagrams, blueprints, and instructions to complete installations and repairs. Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, with an emphasis on second fix work. Ability to assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including working with single cables. Familiarity with electrical hand tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard. Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A willingness to learn and develop electrical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A good understanding of health and safety regulations.
Requirements: ECS card (essential). Full UK driving license is preferred due to the need to commute to the job site. Experience with second fix installations and working with single cables is an advantage. Previous experience in an industrial or construction environment is beneficial.
Additional Information: Rate: £16.00 per hour. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00. Duration: Immediate start, with the possibility of extension or permanent role. Location: Holyhead, LL65 2TR.
