Electricity Design Manager

Management of the Design team, providing direction, guidance, monitoring, and reporting, covering LV to 33kV. Supporting the Design capability development of the Electricity team up to 33kV, in terms of collaboratively developing training plans and associated systems. Ensuring all Design reporting to regulatory bodies is adhered to, along with maintaining & developing relationships with Independent Connection Provider’s, Distribution Network Operator’s & BUUK stakeholders. Supporting Senior Design Engineers with completing complex Network demand calculations and design Points of Connection (POCs) from existing electric networks to provide technical solutions and quotations for 3rd party POC Applications. Assisting all BUUK Departmental Managers in the development of greater efficiency within the Company to promote continuous improvement to GTC Electrical Design procedures. About You
Higher National Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent. IEng in Electrical Engineering (or working towards). IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) Experience and knowledge of policies, standards, commissioning and Health & Safety in power distribution. Experience supporting multiple project delivery teams in High Voltage electrical design distribution networks. Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation & interpersonal skills.
