Scope of Role:

To build mechanical and/or electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOP’s and CMM’s. To upgrade and repair mechanical and/or electrical assemblies. To test assembled product. Main Duties/Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs. Electro/mechanical work, fan/motors and or heaters to drawing and/or CMMs. Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers. Soldering of small components. Carry out mechanical and electrical tests as defined in the process control documents (e.g., Flash, resistance, and inductance). Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures. Complete all relevant documentation. Provide information or help to customers, suppliers, and visitors from other companies within our group. Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities affecting product quality or output. Use PPE (personal protective equipment) as required. Carry out all activities in a timely manner to achieve company manufacturing targets. Take on ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and assisting in other departments. Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions

Undertake training identified as a requirement of the role. Undertake other reasonable requests made by the role manager or Directors. Provide support outside of normal tasks to ensure customer satisfaction during reduced department staff attendance. Professional Knowledge & Experience: Able to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs. Able to work from SOPs in tandem with drawings. Able to read, write, and understand English. Knowledge of tools (e.g., circlip pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers). Soldering skills on small components. Experience with machines (lathes, drills, etc.). Brazing is desirable. Previous experience in a production environment assembling a wide range of electro/mechanical products. Experience in assembling small components (e.g., model kits). Ability to work in a team. Methodical and logical. Good time management. Able to communicate at all levels. Self-motivated and professional. Handles pressure well. Standard Company Responsibilities: Understand the Business Management System and how it applies to the role. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times. Report any issues that could affect the business to the manager. Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
