Dependent on Experience Scope of Role: The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for building electro-mechanical assemblies according to technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs). This role involves inspecting, testing, upgrading, and repairing electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements. The individual will also maintain the equipment used in electronic assembly processes. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Assemble electro-mechanical components and units (e.g., fans, motors, heaters) according to drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. Utilize basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including torque drivers, micrometers, and verniers. Perform assembly tasks such as drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication. Connect cables and wires according to technical specifications. Conduct tests and inspections to troubleshoot and resolve any product issues. Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures to ensure high-quality production. Complete all relevant documentation accurately and on time. Provide support and assistance to customers, suppliers, and visitors from other companies, including factory tours and explanations of assembly processes. Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to enhance product quality and output. Follow all safety procedures and use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) where required. Perform all duties in a timely manner to ensure that company manufacturing targets are met. Support colleagues by providing training according to the local skills matrix and assisting with department-related tasks, including secondments to other departments when needed. Other Responsibilities / Non-Essential Functions: Undertake training as identified by the role manager to meet the requirements of the role. Flexibility to support tasks outside of the standard responsibilities, particularly during times of reduced department staffing. Provide additional assistance to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operation of the department. Professional Knowledge & Experience: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs. Ability to work effectively from SOPs alongside drawings. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English. Desirable experience in electro-mechanical assembly. Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of small assembly tools and equipment. Soldering skills for small components. Experience in assembling small components, such as model kits or similar small assemblies. Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Methodical, logical approach to tasks. Good time management skills. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels. Self-motivated, professional, and able to handle pressure. Basic IT skills.
