Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team here at Hydro Instruments. This individual will be handling a range of duties including assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards. Candidates should also be capable of providing technical support to customers and be able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both electrical and mechanical products, a natural mechanical inclination, strong understanding of assembly processes, and the ability to conduct and understand basic mechanical and electrical testing procedures. Key Responsibilities Assembly :

Assemble electro-mechanical equipment and subassemblies based on engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and work instructions. Attach and install wiring, connectors, hardware, and components to ensure proper assembly and integration. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble products.

Testing and Troubleshooting :

Perform functional, quality, and performance tests on electro-mechanical equipment, including testing for product functionality, mechanical operation, and overall system performance. Identify and diagnose faults, inconsistencies, and issues with products during the testing phase. Troubleshoot and repair faulty components, wiring, or assemblies as required.

Quality Assurance :

Ensure that all assembled products meet quality standards and are in compliance with customer specifications. Document test results, assembly processes, and any issues identified during testing or assembly. Provide feedback regarding assembly or design issues and propose potential improvements.

Collaboration :

Work closely with others in the organization to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes. Assist in the development of assembly instructions and testing procedures.

Safety & Compliance :

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with electrical components and mechanical systems. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field would be beneficial.

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with assembling and testing electrical and mechanical systems, including reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.

Skills :

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical circuits. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements Able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods of time, at least 95% of the time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Hand dexterity to work with small components and tools. Work Environment The position will be based in a production environment with a mix of assembly areas and testing stations. Some exposure to noise, heat, and occasional fumes from equipment and manufacturing processes. Employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment as the position requires. This includes but is not limited to hearing protection (ear plugs or muffs), eye protection (safety glasses), hard hat, steel toe shoes, ESD wrist band, etc. Company Description Hydro Instruments is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified company manufacturing the water treatment industry’s highest quality equipment since 1978.
