Salary £45,000-70,000 - Dependant on experience.

Our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group is made up of 60+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve their true operational potential, and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.

You'll have the flexibility, once fully embedded (and with DV) to figure out your own schedule, making sure core hours are covered by you and your team. There is a bias towards working onsite - due to the nature of the work - but there will beoccasions where this can also be flexed.

How you’ll support us

Working primarily on-site with the wider project team, you will be creating leading edge solutions to problems never worked on before; offering your data analytical and modelling expertise to be used in the subject of Electro Optics (EO) and their effect on the modelling of weapons systems - a project that is using groundbreaking science to support the UK's front-line Defence.

The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more:

We’re expecting that you’ve got hands-on experience in this field.

Essential Knowledge:

Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics or Software Engineering).

Knowledge of modelling and simulation techniques, applied to real-world scenarios.

Experience in using MATLAB/Simulink.

Experience in stochastic and deterministic models, analysing large batches of simulation runs.

Generation of reports, providing recommendations and operation advice.

Experience in real time, and faster than real time, software environments.

Experience running Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) scenarios.

Desirable Knowledge:

EO domain knowledge and/or EO modelling experience (e.g. EO environments, EO Threat system understanding, EO countermeasure development).

Experience of system verification, validation and test.

Experience using C++.

Ability to quickly learn extant programming languages (e.g. FORTRAN).

Good understanding of the physics behind sensors, dynamics, optics and lasers.
