Commissioning, Technical assistance, maintenance, troubleshooting of Polar cranes Our activity on Site: APCO Technologies is an Equipment Manufacturer of High-Safety handing equipment for nuclear power plants. We are a key contributor to the Hinkley Point C project by installing, commissioning and maintaining the Polar Cranes previously built in our factory located in Aigle (Switzerland). The Polar Crane is a heavy electromechanical rotating crane, extensively used during construction phase for handling activities into the reactor building. Later-on, during operation outages it is a critical system used for all the reactor building heavy liftings. Main duties: Within the APCO UK Services team, the assignee : Supervises
the installation of Polar Cranes Participates
to the Commissioning of Polar Cranes Provides
preventive and corrective maintenance services for Polar Cranes Applies
rules related to Quality, Safety and Security in the Nuclear environment Key skills and experience: High degree in electrotechnics and/or
automation systems Proven experience in preventive
maintenance of electromechanical systems, preferably for cranes and
handling equipment Proven experience in corrective
maintenance (troubleshooting) of electromechanical systems Experience: 3-5 years, preferably on-site Qualifications: Previous experience as “Cable Installation
Chargehand (Blue Hat)” on HPC is a plus
