Our client is a leading producer in their industry, known for their innovative and advanced products that support critical training and operational needs. Job Overview The Maintenance Department supports all aspects of production and facility demands. With the business expanding, the successful candidate may be presented with more opportunities to further enhance their position. Role & Responsibilities As part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will provide support to all production departments, some of which function on a 24/7 basis. The right individual will receive full on-the-job training and guidance, enabling growth within the team and company. The role includes: Proficiency in PLC programming, introducing updates; experience with Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi machines beneficial. Programming of PLCs, upgrading control panels for automated systems and HMIs. Assisting the Department Head in providing maintenance support across departments. Supporting production to maintain output. Promptly attending machinery failures/breakdowns, including fault finding on electronic and electrical systems and repairs. Performing planned maintenance tasks to ensure optimal production availability. Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment. Completing and updating tasks using maintenance-based software. Assisting Service Engineers/Contractors as required. Generating improvement ideas for the Maintenance Department. Fault-finding, repairing, and improving control systems. Installing new equipment and electronic control systems. Replacing outdated control systems to achieve consistency, flexibility, and reliability company-wide. Assisting departments with fault-finding on machines using various PLC software and test equipment. Ensuring compliance with insurance, regulations, and safety audits through high standards of maintenance. Engaging in continuous improvement activities, identifying and implementing solutions for site and manufacturing improvements, including project-based work. Investigating and suggesting system improvements and/or cost reductions. Knowledge of variable frequency speed controllers, inverters, and vibration feed controllers. Qualifications & Experience The successful candidate will possess: Experience in supporting a fast-paced production environment. 5-10 years of experience in a production support role. Strong electronic and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose machine faults. Extensive knowledge of various electrical control systems, instrumentation, PLC programs, and systems.
