Major Recruitment are currently seeking electronic assemblers for our client based in the Skelmanthorpe area of Huddersfield.

The role includes:
PCB assembly including SMT, standard THP and fine pitch work, component placing and solder.
Cable working including cutting, stripping, crimping and solder using a wide range of cables and connectors from simple to high specification assemblies to IPC Level 3 standard.
Panel wiring and work on cable and metal assemblies.
This is quite technical, intricate work requiring the ability to listen, understand, learn, and follow instructions. Responsibilities include:
Learning various tasks including how to wire a loom board and crimp, skills which are transferable to future job roles.
Maintaining good eyesight and careful hand coordination; candidates cannot be colour blind.
Ability to stand at a board/loom most of the day and perform repetitive work.
Self-discipline to improve speed with every job, with time measured and expectations to reach 100% productivity with training.
Working hours are 8.30am to 4.26pm, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime.
