Major Recruitment are currently seeking electronic assemblers for our client based in the Skelmanthorpe area of Huddersfield.

The role includes:
PCB assembly including SMT, standard THP, and fine pitch work, component placing, and soldering.
Cable working including cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering using a wide range of cables and connectors from simple to high specification assemblies to IPC Level 3 standard.
Panel wiring and work on cable and metal assemblies.
This is quite technical, intricate work with basic repeat jobs to learn and get faster each time. Candidates must have the ability to listen, understand, learn, and follow instructions. They will learn various tasks including how to wire a loom board and crimp, skills which are transferable to future job roles.
Additional requirements include:
Good eyesight and careful hand coordination; candidates cannot be color blind.
Ability to stand at a board/loom most of the day.
Comfortable with repetitive work and self-discipline to improve speed with every job.
Time will be measured, and expectations are to increase speed until reaching 100% productivity, all with training.
Working hours are from 8:30 am to 4:26 pm, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime.
