Electronics Engineer | Edinburgh | £50,000


KO2's client, a leader in scientific product development, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their expanding team in Edinburgh. This is a unique opportunity to work on advanced electronics for scientific detectors, focusing on high-speed current detection, developing cutting-edge detectors, and sourcing optimized components for high-performance systems. With new R&D projects in the pipeline, this role offers the chance to be at the forefront of innovation in scientific electronics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on analogue and digital electronics, driving new product development.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of detector systems to ensure maximum speed and reliability.
  • Collaborate on PCB design using Altium, and work within a team of four dedicated electronics engineers.


Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as an electronics engineer.
  • Broad experience in electronics design; FPGA and VHDL knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with embedded C and embedded software would be beneficial but is not essential.


This is a full-time, onsite role based in Edinburgh, offering a competitive salary of £50,000 for a 37.5-hour work week. Join a team of passionate electronics engineers and help shape the future of scientific technology.
