Scope of Role: To build electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs. To inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and accuracy. To upgrade and repair mechanical and/or electrical assemblies. To maintain equipment used in electronic assembly. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs. Electro/mechanical work, fan/motors and/or heaters to drawing and/or CMMs. Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, e.g., torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers. Assemble and test electronic components and systems according to specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and function properly. Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures. Complete all relevant documentation. Provide information or help required to customers, suppliers, and visitors from other companies within our group. Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities that affect the quality or output of the product. Use PPE (personal protective equipment) as provided. Carry out all activities in a timely manner to ensure the company manufacturing targets are achieved. Take on ad hoc duties including training colleagues in line with the local skills matrix, department tasks, and brief secondments to other departments. Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions: Undertake training identified as a requirement of the role. Undertake all other reasonable requests made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors. Provide support outside of normal tasks to ensure customer satisfaction during reduced department staff attendance. Professional Knowledge & Experience: Able to read and understand drawings, CMMs, and SOPs. Experience in electronic assembly. Familiarity with electronic components and assembly tooling. Soldering skills on small components. Experience in assembling small components, e.g., model kits. Ability to work in a team. Methodical and logical approach. Good time management skills. Able to communicate at all levels. Self-motivated and professional. Basic IT skills. Standard Company Responsibilities: Understand the Business Management System and its application to the role. Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times. Report any issues that could affect the business to the manager. Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
