Electronics Digital Design Engineer | Defence and Secure National Security Southampton based Hybrid 2 days a week on site £65,000 - £80,000 + benefits DOE Join a leading technical and engineering firm in the UK defence and national security space as an Electronics Digital Design Engineer. We're seeking a motivated and experienced professional to design and develop cutting-edge digital electronics for defence and electromagnetic warfare applications. Job Highlights:

Design and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits and systems for defence-related projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of designs Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to enhance project outcomes Document design specifications, test plans, and results for compliance evidence Design and develop FPGA-based systems for defence and electromagnetic warfare applications Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field Extensive experience in digital electronic design Knowledge of analogue circuit design desirable Knowledge of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD, Spice simulation, Altium) Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electromagnetic warfare principles a plus Experience with FPGA design and development using languages such as VHDL or Verilog Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus Experience with high-level synthesis and C-based design flows Benefits:
