Salary Range £37,000 - £44,000 per annum Main Responsibilities Design hardware for 3-phase control systems, including component specification and installation. Work with high-power motors, actuators, or industrial automation systems. Install power distribution systems and manage large electrical installations. Perform general soldering for PCBs and wiring looms. Research and specify components for small-scale battery-powered and larger-scale electrical systems. Troubleshoot and solve technical problems. Maintain workshop equipment and adhere to safe practices in electronics. Adapt to last-minute changes in project briefs. Occasionally travel for off-site work worldwide. Expertise in hardware design and power management systems. Strong soldering skills and familiarity with fault-finding techniques. Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., C, C++, BASIC). Practical and hands-on approach to unique, prototype-based projects. Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, PIC) for power and motor control. Knowledge of DMX or other show control systems. Experience in PCB design and production.
