WHAT TO EXPECT Join JLR’s Electric Machine Delivery Team, a key part of the Powertrain Electrified Engineering Group, and play a crucial role in industrialising electric machine designs. As an eMachine Delivery Engineer, you’ll work closely with global suppliers to ensure components meet quality, cost, and timing targets, supporting prototype builds and leading change management. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts while enhancing your own technical skillset in a fast-paced, innovative environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Own the design and release of electric machine components, ensuring alignment with programme milestones. Lead suppliers through requirement, design, prototyping, validation, and launch phases using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies. Develop and implement Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), product specifications, design rules, and requirement management. Drive resolution of cross-functional technical and manufacturing challenges using Global 8D processes. Support prototype builds, sourcing of parts, and development of electric machine manufacturing processes. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Knowledge of defining and/or using appropriate analysis tools to optimise and verify design. Knowledge of Engineering product delivery from concept through to production. Ability to robustly project manage designs to production. Working experience of problem resolution techniques e.g. 8D, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), Shainin. Knowledge of Quality tools including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
