BRIEF OVERVIEW - Role: Embedded Software Engineer - Location: Oxfordshire - Role type: Contract - Salary: £50-£55/hour inside IR35 (potential for outside IR35) - Working Type: Hybrid working
Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for an embedded software engineer to join the Electrical Controls & Software department, contributing to the mission of developing zero-emission power systems.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing, global green technology company, developing cutting-edge embedded software for innovative, sustainable technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Derive software requirements from ECU feature requirements - Implement hardware drivers in C or configure Autosar modules to meet requirements - Integrate handwritten C code into Autosar frameworks or with application software (using Model-Based Design) - Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure alignment with ECU feature requirements - Support ISO26262 compliance through traceability from requirements to implementation - Conduct ECU testing on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rigs - Plan individual workloads to meet strict deadlines and milestones
REQUIRED SKILLS - Experience in bare-metal embedded software development in C on - Proficient in using ETAS or Vector Autosar authoring tools - Skilled in writing MISRA C-compliant code - Experience with regulated industries such as Aerospace/Defence, Automotive, Medical Devices, etc
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL) - ARM CPU architecture - Xilinx or TI processors - Familiarity with static analysis tools like Polyspace or the LDRA toolchain - Knowledge of test, measurement, and debugging techniques - Proficiency with debugging tools such as Lauterbach Trace32 - Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
