Due to incredible growth, this organisation which is part of a much larger global enterprise is looking to further increase its EMC capability. You will be joining a world leader in the TIC (test, Inspection and certification) sector, with a strong focus on the automotive sector.

We are currently looking for an

EMC Test Engineer . The position is to work with automotive & commercial products from a wide range of OEM’s. You will work as part of a large team, however, you will be expected to work independently as well as part of this team in a fast paced environment.

Preferably you will have at least 2-3 years of hands-on testing experience.

Responsibilities

EMC testing in both screened enclosure and in-situ environments

Electronic logbook keeping and data collation

Test plan (where required) and report writing

Test equipment / method development and evaluation

Test procedure generation including provision of photos and measurement uncertainty calculations

Provide assistance to customers during failure phase of their EMC test programme and general consultancy prior to start of job

Validation of clients’ requirements (may require site visits)

Provision of training to Technicians regarding specialist area

Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects

Desirable Criteria

Degree or an equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline

Working knowledge of EMC testing requirements

Working knowledge of EMC specification and accreditation requirements

Prior laboratory test experience is desirable

Electrical knowledge is a must

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Ability and desire to learn.

The Rewards:

Salary - £27k - £39k DoE

25 days annual leave pro-rata (1st December to 30th November) plus bank holidays

Pension Scheme (5% employee contributions + 4% employer contributions)

Life Assurance (post-probation)
