General Information Hiring Department/Group: Human Resources Job Title: EMEA Payroll Specialist Office Location: 14 Ryder Street Job Function Summary The successful candidate will work alongside and report into the Head of International Payroll Operations to provide payroll support to employees in the EMEA region with offices currently located in Dubai, France, Ireland, Israel, Jersey, London, South Africa, and Switzerland. This individual is to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of these payrolls. They will act as the point of contact for payroll and pension related queries and work closely with the local and global HR team and external payroll provider to ensure accurate data and timely payments. Principal Responsibilities Payroll Responsible for ensuring accurate payroll data for monthly payrolls in Dubai, France, Ireland, Israel, Jersey, London, South Africa, and Switzerland, setting up new employees, updating employee changes, recording and monitoring payments of any new hire special payments, and ensuring terminations are successfully captured by the payroll provider via the Workday Integration. Maintain compliant and accurate country-specific payrolls, pension, and income tax data. Update and maintain any changes to CloudPay payroll system - Calculate benefits deductions, holiday pay, terminations, and any leaves of absence relevant in those countries. Support the payroll, employee tax, and pension set up of any new EMEA region office openings, working with Cloudpay and the internal project teams. Ensure that all PAYE and Social Security obligations are correctly paid in a timely manner. Ensure that all Government obligations and reports are always met. Work with the external payroll provider to manage the annual processes, including the filing, production & distribution of year-end certificates/returns. Partner with other areas of the firm in matters relating to expats, new offices, relocations, P11Ds or any other employer questions that may arise. Work with US payroll manager to ensure US citizen shadow payroll is reflected properly. Pensions Manage pension and employee queries relating to European pension plans. Stay up to date on changing pension legislation in all locations to ensure compliance. Qualifications/Skills Required 7+ years of experience processing payroll and pension management. In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislations – Comprehensive understanding of income tax, national insurance, statutory regulations, pension regulations, and termination payments. Working knowledge of payroll best practices in other EMEA regions – Switzerland, France, Ireland, and Israel. Demonstrate a clear understanding of all aspects of payroll along with previous experience in managing outsourced payroll suppliers (CloudPay experience desirable but not essential). High degree of professionalism with ability to deal sensitively with confidential material. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with various levels of employees. Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel. Able to prioritize in a fast-moving, high-pressure, constantly changing environment; High sense of urgency with accuracy. Quick learner, extremely detail-oriented; Demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work. Excellent team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
