Are you a caring individual who wants to be a part of an essential service in your local community? Progress Lifeline, who provide a Home Response service in the Greater Manchester area, are looking to expand their team. We are a 24-hour response service enabling older, disabled, and vulnerable people who have fallen or had an emergency at home. As an emergency home responder, you will assess and establish the nature of the emergency and provide the necessary support for the customer. At all times, you must offer reassurance and make our customers as comfortable as possible. Full training will be provided:

This will include First Aid and dealing with emergency situations, as well as the moving and handling of customers who have fallen. You will learn how to perform risk assessments, carry out welfare visits, and when required, lift customers using specialist lifting equipment. Initial and ongoing training is comprehensive. This is carried out during daytime hours, and you must be able to commit to attending if successful in your application for the role. Our teams are made up of a variety of people with different backgrounds and previous experience. However, previous experience isn’t essential for the role because all required training will be given to enable you to become valuable support to the emergency services. Night Shift:

On call between 18:00 and 06:00. 7 consecutive shifts on and either 7 or 21 shifts off (one week in two or one week in four). Please specify in your application your preference. Due to timed attendance targets, it is essential that you live in the Greater Manchester area and have access to your own vehicle.
